Thanks to the generous support of the Hickey Family.
The Citizenship Award in the amount of $500 will be awarded at the Provincial Winter Fair Sunday evening Banquet.
Each club leader is to consult their members and nominate one senior member from another club who has demonstrated citizenship, leadership, and helpfulness throughout the fair.
All nominees will be recognized and entered into a draw for the $500 award.
There is no limit to the number of times a member can be nominated, but can only have one entry in the draw and can only win once.
Deadline for Clubs to Drop Off Nomination Forms is Noon on Sunday of the Fair.
2024 LEVERE LAMB AWARD
Sponsored by Levere Livestock, Knutsford BC
This award goes to a member currently exhibiting a 4-H sheep project at this year's fair and the winner is determined by a combination of aggregate points and a panel interview (during the PWF) in which they answer the questions why they should win the lamb and what is their plan for the lamb.
The lamb will be a ewe lamb born in 2025 and must be exhibited as a 4-H female project for the ensuing three years (unless the member ages out, in which case it must be shown open). A member can only win this award once.
Thank you again to Dána and Randy Levere at Levere Livestock for this generous donation! At least one of these ewe projects has gone on to be the Supreme Champion Ewe at the PWF!
The deadline for members to drop of their award form is Noon on Saturday of the Fair.
The award winner will be announced at the 2024 Provincial Winter Fair Banquet.
